Do you need help getting around Cellville? Then come visit the cytoskeleton. The cytoskeleton acts as the city’s transportatation around Cellville- all for free. If you are interested in another option, you can choose to rent Cilia or Flagella for the day. Cilia is a basic taxi that will take you anywhere in Cellville for just ten dollars each way! However, if you are looking for a better time, or perhaps trying to impress a special someone, pay just twenty dollars more each way to upgrade to the top of the line flagella. Both cilia and flagella operate on Cellville’s top-of-the-line microtubules. Please see the pages on the right side of the screen to find out more about the cytoskeleton, cilia, flagella, or microtubules.

Lysosomes: Lysosomes are the garbage men that help ridding the city of waste. Lysosomes are involved in the digestion of waste, and garbage men, rid the city of waste.

Centrioles: The centrioles are the police men because they direct organization of Cellville’s microtubules, which are the streets of a normal city, just like police men do.

Unfortunately, A Tourist’s Guide to Cellville only provides information on the city of Cellville, which is a Eukaryote. A Eukaryote is a type of cell that has a membrane bounded nucleus and membranous organelles.  On the other hand, a Prokaryote is a type of cell that lacks a membrane bounded nucleus and organelles. Domains that are Prokaryotes are Bacteria and Archea. To find out more about Prokaryotes, please check out our sequal- A Tourist’s Guide to Bacteriaburg. A Tourist’s Guide to Bacteriaburg provides an in depth look at the small town of Bacteriaburg, beneath our top of the line transmission electron microscope, which uses electrons and a magnetic lens to show up to a 200,000x magnified view of the city.
